Micron Technology Gains on Growing Global Semiconductor Sales

Micron Technology Inc (MU) is up pre-market as are other chip makers including Advanced Micro Devices Inc (AMD), as they rise on demand for semiconductors worldwide. The Semiconductor Industry Association reported that global chip sales rose 4.5% in May from the previous month as demand for semiconductors increased worldwide on stronger computer and mobile phone sales. Shares in Micron have traded between .55 and .40 over the past 12 months.
